First Blog Post!

I have been meaning for a while now to start a blog to record some of the things I am crafting. So here goes! It may evolve into thoughts/diary entry etc but then again it may not!

Today was a making day; I made 2 crayon rolls, a jewellery roll, a fabric building block, a tooth pocket (so far!)

Here are some pictures - sorry bad quality photos.

That's the jewellery roll, you hang necklaces off the black stripe and the green roll is velcro'd on and is for rings. The meshy thing is for ear-rings.

There's the jewellery roll rolled up at the top. The crayon rolls are either side of the block and you can just see the pocket on the tooth. The idea for the tooth is that your beautiful child puts their freshly vacated tooth into the pocket in exchange for a shiny 20 cent coin. There I am showing my age, we got 20 p coins, I imagine the children of the Tiger prefer a shiny 2 euro coin. We will see. My eldest little craftster  (L.C.1) cannot wait for her teeth to begin falling out and my younger craftster is also impatiently waiting - hopefully she will be a while waiting considering she is only 2 - well almost 3.

I made this yesterday

Can you guess what it is?

I asked LC2  what she thought it was - here is the conversation:

Me: what is it?
LC2: I don't know
Me: what does it look like?
LC2: A space rocket?
Me: does it look at all like a bun?
LC2: No.

I asked LC1 what it was, she didn't know

I asked dh what he thought it was, he suggested a fruit bowl.

So my ad lib crocheting didn't go to plan but with my Mum's usual ingenuity she transformed it to this

It is going onto an apron like these

There I think that is long enough for a first post, off to put the craftsters to bed and maybe make a few more bits.
